HOMEJoe Pulley

Born in 1962 in Springfield MO, he grew up on a farm near Rogersville.

Learning the values of unconditional love, hard work, discipline,

and simplicity of life were always the stables of his childhood.

Although somewhere along the way an artist was born.

Larry Julian, his first musical influence was a chorus instructor at Logan Rogersville High School.

They met at a local county fair while showing cattle.

"At the time he approached me with the thought of attending a choir class, I just laughed".

By the end of the conversation he had convinced a young boy,

to take a journey down a road that would be the beginning of something very special.

Short lived however, the next year his mentor left to attend the New York Opera,

leaving him with an enormous decision to make at the age of only 14.

In just one semester, due to human nature not dealing well with change, he quit the school chorus.

Toying with local organizations off and on but to no avail, he quit singing all together for over a decade.

"It's kind of sad to look back at it now, but I truly believe everything happens for a reason".

More mature possibly, at the age of 30 he set out on his quest to capture a dream.

Teaching himself to play piano and guitar he also began writing.

First with poetry and then combining composition.

"To me a song is nothing more than musical poetry".

His passion and intensity are what alienate him from the mainstream.

With the desire to reach into souls and expose them naked, his writing is beyond brutally honest.

Playing locally and abroad from Springfield to Nashville and all over the world,

he has found his true love entertaining.

Someone asked him once what he wanted to do with his music, his reply...

"To touch as many peoples lives in a positive way as I possibly can".

That is his mission!

His debut release of "How will I know" is nothing less than breath taking.

From the title track of "How will I know", and it's haunting melody's, to "Imagine", with lines like

"close your eyes and make a wish and you will find your dreams, if you could imagine".

Not to mention the unbelievable spiritual power of "Pure", and "This One",

and the charming warmth of "Fallin", and "Why you love me" are simply magic...

But don't forget the clever and blues beat driven "Took a bad turn".

Along with the ever soulful "Listen to the vine".

A true vocalist, he can capture an audience instantly with what some say is compared to the likes of

James Ingram, Jeffrey Osborn and a soulful Richard Marx with incredible power,

not to mention an uncanny musicianship, considering having never had lessons.

His stage presence shows how much this cat loves to be in front of an audience..

"I really don't consider myself a musician though, there are players out there that just flat out smoke"!

Don't let him fool you though, the realm of talent is far beyond his own description.

Soulful power, delicate finesse, precise control, clever lyricist,

and a fresh positive attitude. This guy has it all!
