Come On By

Out a little late last night, drivin to kill some time.

Pulled up to a stop sign, glanced to the left, glanced to the right.

Looked up in my rear view mirror, nothin as far as I could see.

So I gazed into the night.
 

There was nothin but the stars shining bright, moonlight leanin in throught the windshield.

I could hear the wind blowin, kind a sounded like it was tryin to tell me something.

She said, come on by there's nobody home.

Maybe we could spend some time alone.

I'm lyin here in this lonesome bed, wonderin what's goin through your head.

Come on by and stay for a while, but bring that smile.

Drove on into the night listening to the radio.

Funny how the time kind of stands still leavin you all alone.

I'm wishin that there was something like a fallin star from the sky.
