Hope

She's as beautiful as the stars out tonight.

Her big brown eyes hold me tight.

And she looks at me and says, would you hold me.

I can't resist, she knows me well.

It's getting late, it's been a while. Since I have held her with a smile.

Deep inside I know that she's afraid. She tries so hard but hides it well.

It's amazing what Hope can do.

It's time to lay hope to rest and watch her drift away.

To another day far, far away then maybe I can find away.

I look at her asleep and now I know.

Deep inside I'm afraid to let go.

It's not that I have given up on you.

But reality is now.

It's time to lay Hope to rest and watch her drift away.

To another day far, far away.

Then maybe I can find away.

Then maybe I can find away.

To lay hope to rest.
