Rescue Me

I want to be the apple of His eyes.
And I want to be in the shadow of His wings.
From the wicked who assail me, to the mortal that surround.
Rise up, Oh Lord and rescue me.

The have tracked me, to throw me to the ground. Like a Lion, hungry for a prey.
In my midnight benediction, I can hear my Father say.
Rise up, Oh Lord. Rescue me.

He is my rock, my salvation, only the Lord is worthy of praise.
Oh, I cried out his name and he soared upon the wings of the winds, to come and rescue me.

The Earth trembled and the mountains began to shake.
He was angry for the fear that they had made.
And the darkness came around Him with the thunder of His voice.
Rise up, Oh Lord and rescue me.

He is my rock, my salvation, only the Lord is worthy of praise.
Oh, I cried out his name and he soared upon the wings of the winds, to come and rescue me.

Then He took me from my foes, too strong for me.
They overwhelmed me, left me cold and tired and weak.
My Lord, He's my savoir. He's my strength in every need.
Rise up, Oh Lord and rescue me.

He is my rock, my salvation, only the Lord is worthy of praise.
Oh, I cried out his name and he soared upon the wings of the winds, to come and rescue me.
Oh, my Lord He's my savior. He's my strength in every need.
Rise up, Oh Lord and rescue me.
